Backed by Cork Inc.

A cyber warranty of up to $500,000, with the terms in your hands before you sign.

What it pays for

What does the warranty cover?

Each type of loss has its own limit within the $500,000 maximum. The full schedule is in your terms.

Ransomware

Data recovery, incident response and business interruption, and in some cases a ransom payment approved in advance by Cork.

Email-based wire fraud

Money lost when someone impersonating a vendor, client or colleague tricks your team, by email, into sending a payment.

Text-message gift card scams

Gift card losses from a text impersonating someone on your team. These have a small, separate limit.

Your cyber insurance deductible

If your cyber insurer covers the incident, the warranty can help pay your deductible or retention.

Keeping it in force

What keeps the warranty in force?

Most of it is our job. Every security tool we provide stays deployed and configured, software stays patched, and anything the warranty platform flags gets fixed on time. Your part is keeping your services agreement current, cooperating if there's a claim, and filing with your cyber insurance first if you have it.

If something goes wrong

What happens if something goes wrong?

Call us right away. Cork has to be notified quickly, and we handle that notice and the claim with you. As soon as a claim is filed, emergency funds can be made available for recovery and incident response.

Plainly stated

What isn't covered?

Forensic investigations, legal defense, public relations, breach notification and credit monitoring costs, fines and penalties, and claims made against you by others.

It also doesn't cover incidents caused by a breach at s90 or by our own error, incidents your own staff cause or contribute to (other than email-based wire fraud), wire fraud that started by phone or text rather than email, physical events like fire or flood, acts of war or state-sponsored attacks, widespread attacks that hit many businesses at once, incidents that began before your coverage started, or losses under $5,000, except text-message scams and deductibles.

Warranty, not insurance

Is this cyber insurance?

No. It's a limited warranty, not an insurance policy, and it doesn't replace any insurance you have. Don't cancel or change a policy because of it. Your insurance agent or broker can tell you what coverage you need.

Before you sign

When do I see the full terms?

Before you sign. You receive the warranty notice and the full warranty agreement, and you can ask us anything about them. The warranty is provided by the applicable Cork warranty provider under that separate agreement, and eligibility, coverage, limits, exclusions and claims are governed by it alone. This page is a summary.
